Drummond Read prepare reports for litigation purposes based on an academic and practical knowledge of the auction and retail markets. Cases involving a diverse range of art or antique related topics can be managed and a report provided, with a fully reasoned approach, in accordance with the requirements of Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules.
Expert witness reports can be provided for Civil and Criminal cases in relation to lost, damaged or stolen items where there is dispute. They also offer advice and act as expert witness for solicitors involved in both criminal and civil actions where valuations of antiques, fine art, collectables and jewellery are required. As experts in antiques valuation they are regulated by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and will act as either a Sole or Joint Expert.
Over recent years Drummond Read have had an increase in the number of enquiries where a detailed and thorough investigation of both circumstances and the chattels themselves are required. Odette Moon has over 20 years experience in this field and works closely with the instructing party examining such cases.
